We had a great weekend with some family friends who came into town. 6 Families, 3 houses and 2 1/2 days = 17 of us in all for fun filled days of food, drink, boccie ball and darts.

One good side effect about company coming to stay at your house is you get the last little projects completed. We re-decorated the guest room and near by bath as well has changed a light fixture and cleaned really good.

The title comes from the fact that the good pictures are on someone else's camera and I am at their mercy to send them to me. I'm sorry for those of you who aren't shown here, I'm waiting, here's mine...

We figured we'd do this again in 5 years. When we figured when that would be it's 2012. Can that be right? Can we be that into the new millennium? Crazy.

As LJ would say, really it's Rapids. Anyway JP had a wopping 5 goals scored at todays tournament. (a personal record....a family record for that matter.)

Mother's Day

This is what I got for Mother's Day, a bike ride to the flooded river. After which JP was sweet enought to buy me my very own purple bike helmet so I will no longer be heckeled on the trails.

Tim said Flat Stanley was so popular at people kept coming up asking if it were him. They each wanted to tell their own story. He also mentioned that if a person was single in the city, taking Stanley around would be a great way to meet people.

What a surprise to get this yesterday.

I was so happy and proud I shared it with the kids and the piano teacher who was here.


After the kids had eaten more than 10 of the chocolate covered strawberries and bananas, I asked them to wait for Dad to have some too.


This is the face of a sugar crash.
