Book Review - East of Eden

Did you know that when Adam and Eve were banished from Eden, God sent them to "East of Eden" .

In essence then, that is were we live, East of Eden. Such a simple thing, yet so profound.

This book is a mondernish day retelling of the book of Gennisis. I found it to be amazing.

Let me put my dunce cap on for a bit....Who knew the Bible was a book with personal history and human struggles?

I could go on, but I won't.

Busted for laughing out loud

Have you ever found yourself laughing at something in front of you kids that you can't share?
Delayed earlier in the day, I had to come back to this parody I found today. Since the kids kept hovering around I grabbed a pair of headphones and I kept laughing out loud, I was so busted. I had to say " This is for Mommy, it's a Mommy joke and I am just not going to explain it now." That will come back to me one day when they are in high school I just know it.

Happy Easter! My sister-in-law just sent me their family Easter pictures. Aren't they cute.

And here's ours. It's a great picture of Ryan, but it looks like he has a festive hat on. (Don't tell him that, it might hurt his feelings)

Here are the kids with their new Easter chairs.

And finally, my pie that had nearly $20 in berries. Once I put the topping on, it was all down hill from there.

Well I'm in my office for the first time. When they left last night they said I could have it. It's complete from the builders perspective except the heat/air mainly.
