For Todd

Todd,

Tonight's big plan is to tune the guitar for his first lesson tomorrow.

First he and some friends played a little Basketball in the basement.

Once everyone left, he begun to open his presents. He opened the smaller ones first....and was very happy for each one. I kept telling him they are for his current tiny little guitar he has.

Then it was time for the big one. Look at that look on his face.
I wonder what it could be...hum?
Oh Wow! Oh Wow! Oh Wow! Just look at it. IT's real. IT's mine.
He has carefully looked at every string and noted their tightness or looseness. How will he figure it all out? Thank goodness he has a few picks. :-)
Thanks Todd. This is the perfect guitar with the works. It is neatly set up in the corner of his room and he'll use the gig bag to carry it to and from practice.

Happy Valentines

Happy Valentines day everyone. I am beginning to wonder if I'll only make a new post if there has been a holiday.

My LJ has been talking about Edible Arrangements for sometime now and he's finally gotten one, that he was willing to share.

We weren't able to take time off during the boy's Spring Break so we took our favorite Florida vacation a little early this year. Here are some highlights from the pool. While we were there, Good Morning America visited the same manatee park that we did. Since it was unseasonably cool, the manatee's migrate to a warm inlet in the park. Hopefully you'll see them all floating around. They are really like huge slugs that float to the top to stick their noses out of the water to get air and sink back down again.

Look at the air he's catching...... :-) Ciao

Merry Christmas..I'm back.

I can't believe it's been 2 months since I have posted last. No excuse is a good excuse, but truth be told, I've been busy on Facebook. With three boys to look after, my "free" time is limited and I've been chatting with long lost friends.

Over the weekend we traveled to visit my family and had an early Christmas. They had an ice storm the night before and it was beautiful. Of course that doesn't stop the kids. Uncle Todd gave them Rockets they just had to go blow off.

We made 3 stops in three days and here are a few of the highlights. As I post these I notice I only capture the kids or adults with the kids. I must start taking pictures of everyone. That just might be my New Years Resolution.

(His first Christmas present)

Here with R-man is his cousin from New York. They are only 14 days apart. My husbands Grandma just when into a nursing home so we stopped by for a visit. She just loves the kids. Poor thing (or fortunate) she would ask were we where, like she didn't realize it was her who lived there.

See you soon.

Grandparents' day Sub

I was chosen as a special friend to my niece while her Grandparents were on vacation. It was such a treat. The entire school day was dedicated to grandparents coming to different classes throughout the day, it was quite the ordeal.

My nieces teacher had a nice touch where the kids were to sing a song to us. It turned out to be a beautiful yet emotional song. As soon as it started, I thought I was going to have trouble keeping it together. It's a Bette Middler type song. Love Will Build a Bridge

As you'll see we didn't make it though the whole song. I guess I wasn't the only one who thought so.
